Terms of Service

1. Using Connects

These terms govern your use of connectsshop.com and the Connects website builder, provided by Connects (we, us, or our). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service. Questions can be sent to hello@connectsshop.com.

You must be at least 18 and have reached the age of legal majority where you live to create an account. If you act for a business, you must have authority to do so.

2. Merchant tools and enabled commerce

Connects provides accounts, shared merchant workspaces, storefront tools, and checkout for eligible merchants who complete payment and store setup. Checkout supports physical products, digital downloads, and recurring memberships, with USD prices and US shipping. Sample shops in Discover are demonstrations. A test store uses simulated payments and does not create a real sale. Individual merchant custom domains and a live AI assistant are not currently included.

Products, inventory, store settings, and membership and inbox drafts are saved to your account. Check the save status before switching devices; edits made during connection failures may remain only in your browser. Keep independent copies using Export in Settings. The guided assistant does not provide professional, financial, tax, or legal advice.

Independent merchants sell their own goods and memberships and receive payments through their connected Stripe accounts. Merchants are responsible for accurate listings, rights to their content, product safety, fulfillment, customer support, returns, refunds, and obligations that apply to their business. Complete Stripe’s verification and agreements, provide truthful shipping estimates, and publish clear return and cancellation policies before accepting orders. Do not sell prohibited or unlawful products.

Merchants must determine their tax obligations with their adviser and keep their tax settings and registrations current. Enabling Stripe Tax does not register a business everywhere or file its returns. Connects does not determine whether a merchant owes tax or replace professional advice.

Connects does not currently charge a merchant platform subscription or application fee. Stripe and other providers may charge their own disclosed fees. Any future Connects paid plan will show its price and terms before you choose it; these terms do not authorize a future platform charge.

Purchases, downloads, and memberships

Review the merchant’s listing, shipping estimate, return policy, and final checkout amount before paying. Applicable shipping and tax appear at checkout. Contact the merchant shown on the storefront for product, shipment, or refund requests. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply regardless of a merchant’s policy. Connects support can help with access or technical issues.

Payment confirmation may be delayed for some payment methods. Orders, downloads, and paid membership access become available after payment is confirmed. Digital files are provided for the use described by the merchant; purchasing a file does not transfer copyright or grant a right to redistribute it unless the merchant says so.

Memberships renew automatically at the price and monthly or annual interval shown before purchase until canceled. Use Purchases → Manage billing or cancel renewal to cancel through Stripe’s billing portal. Cancellation stops renewal at the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by the merchant’s disclosed policy and applicable law. Access may pause after a failed payment, refund, dispute, or fraud review. New catalog prices do not automatically change existing subscriptions.

Unpublishing a store or requesting account deletion does not itself cancel a Stripe subscription. Cancel active subscriptions before closing an account, or contact the merchant and Connects support for assistance. Merchants must manage outstanding orders and subscriptions when ending their store.

3. Your account

Provide accurate account information, use a secure password, and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Email verification is required for email/password accounts. Google sign-in is an optional way to authenticate.

We send service emails needed for verification, password recovery, welcoming you, order, shipping, and membership billing updates, and account administration. Our Privacy Policy explains the information used to provide the service.

4. Your content and permitted use

You retain ownership of your store details, text, images, and other content. You must have the rights needed to use that content and must not provide another person’s private information without permission or another lawful basis. When you provide content to Connects, you grant only the permissions reasonably needed to operate the features you request. We do not acquire ownership of your content.

Do not use Connects for unlawful activity, fraud, impersonation, infringement, harassment, malware, or unsolicited bulk messaging. Do not bypass access controls, attempt to access another account’s information, disrupt the service, or represent a test store as accepting real payments. Do not store payment-card details in store content or support messages.

5. Connects materials and other services

Connects branding, design, and software remain owned by Connects or their respective licensors. You may use them as part of the service; these terms do not grant ownership or permission to imply an endorsement. Demonstration photos and other third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and are not automatically licensed for your independent commercial use.

Third-party services, including Google sign-in and sites linked from Connects, may have separate terms and privacy policies. Stripe’s applicable agreements govern its payment and merchant-account services. Connecting an account does not bypass verification, tax, or store-setup requirements.

6. Availability and responsibility

Connects is an evolving service. Features may change, and interruptions or errors may occur. We do not promise continuous availability, preservation of browser drafts, sales results, or that the service will meet every business need. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties.

You remain responsible for your business decisions, content, and compliance with laws that apply to your activities. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.

7. Ending use and account requests

You may stop using Connects at any time. To request account deletion, email hello@connectsshop.com from your account address. Export any drafts you wish to keep. Local browser copies must be removed separately through your browser’s site-data controls.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, a security risk, violation of these terms, or a legal requirement. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the reason and offer a way to contact us. Information retention after closure is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes and questions

We may update these terms as Connects develops. The current version and effective date will remain available here. We will give notice of material changes through the service or by email before they take effect, except where an urgent legal or security reason requires otherwise. If you do not agree to changed terms, stop using the service; any acceptance required by law will be obtained separately.

If a concern arises, contact hello@connectsshop.com so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require arbitration or waive non-waivable consumer rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law.
